Technical cookies
The cookie kwp_consenso remembers your cookie choices for 184 days, after which we ask you again. It is necessary for the site and does not require consent.
The cookie kwp_vista is written by the OMI Observatory when you open it: for 12 hours it tells our server that the map data is being requested by a page open in a browser, not by a program harvesting it in bulk. It is necessary for the service and does not require consent.
Statistics
We count visits and page views in aggregate form, to understand what visitors need from the site. Only with your consent.

Changing your choices
At the bottom of every page there is “Review your cookie choices”: it opens the panel where you can switch each tool on or off. If you switch a tool off, we delete its cookies from our domain and reload the page.
Deleting cookies from the browser
We cannot delete the cookies that providers write on their own domains, for example those of Google and Meta: they are deleted from the browser settings, under the cookies and site data section.
How we classify cookies
Technical: needed to show you the site you asked for or to remember these choices; they do not require consent. Everything else, statistics included, we treat as non-technical and use only with your consent: we do not rely on the exception for minimised statistics in paragraph 7.2 of the guidelines issued by the Garante (the Italian Data Protection Authority) on 10 June 2021.
The record of choices
To be able to demonstrate consent, every choice, including closing the banner with the X, is recorded on our server with a random code, the date, the choices made and the version of this page. The record of choices does not store the IP address or the browser. Records are deleted after 12-13 months. Details in the privacy notice.
